At Settlers Cottage you will enjoy all the comforts of your own home.
Settlers Cottage nestles among vines and rolling paddocks along a quiet country lane in the picturesque village of Sevenhill in South Australia's Clare Valley.
A humble stone home built circa 1850 not far from the first vineyards established by Jesuit priests in 1852.
Offering the warmth of the old with the comfort of the new, Settlers Cottage is a rare treat for up to four friends. Just to glimpse the traditional cottage garden and the climbing roses over the door is to leave the pressures of city life behind. To step inside is to experience a long forgotten dream. The walls are 30cm. thick so it is cool in summer and warm in winter when heated by the fire.
The cottage is available for guests to spend a few days enjoying the many and varied delights of the Clare Valley.
The joys of the cottage are a warm welcome, not personal, but lights on and a slow combustion wood fire only awaiting a match.
Accommodation comprises two bedrooms with queen-size brass beds, a comfortable lounge with an entertainment unit, a dining room (candles and linen serviettes), a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom.
Provisions are provided for a hearty country breakfast that will keep you going whilst out enjoying the scenic sights of this beautiful valley with its many magnificent wineries. Or just relax and wind down in this tranquil setting with a good book and a complimentary bottle of local wine.
